A two-year commitment to help small businesses recover and new businesses take root across Western North Carolina.
We know recovery takes time. Over the next two years, with support from dedicated partner organizations, Mountain BizWorks is providing resources and funding for long-term recovery.
Beginning in October 2025, Helene-impacted small businesses and new businesses can access a new Recover Forward scholarship for accessible courses and small business coaching through the WNC Strong: Recover Forward program for the next two years.

Our Business Coaching program is a peer-to-peer model, which means you’ll be matched with someone who understands the entrepreneurial journey – because they’ve lived it. Most of our coaches are or have been small business owners themselves, bringing real-world experience to help you navigate your own business journey. Now, any WNC business owner can apply to receive 10 hours of free 1:1 guidance.
