Our Business Buyer Accelerator is designed for business operators and current entrepreneurs interested in purchasing an existing enterprise.

We recognize that buying a business can be overwhelming, and we’re here to guide you.

The Business Buyer Accelerator is an eight-week, virtual training program for those who want to purchase an existing business and are seeking the tools to do so. Instead of starting from scratch, participants will learn a repeatable process for finding the right opportunity. The cohort will cover the steps from initial offer to a successful transition.

Why now?

Over half of local businesses are owned by people 55 and older. While 80% are dreaming of retirement, most have no transition plan in place. This “Silver Tsunami” opens the door for a new wave of entrepreneurs ready to take an existing business into the future.

If you want to be in that next wave, you don’t have to navigate the journey alone. In the Business Buyer Accelerator, you’ll participate and learn alongside a cohort of other interested buyers. Plus, you’ll benefit from a structured, program that guides you in defining your goals, evaluating opportunities with confidence, and understanding the essential steps needed to turn your interest into a tangible deal. The program is structured to help you make real progress through a mix of cohort learning and hands-on work between sessions. 

The Business Buyer Accelerator is for You if You:

  • Want to bypass startup/growth risk by purchasing a business with proven revenue and established customers.
  • Are an employee of an existing business and are considering becoming the next owner.
  • Have an existing business and want to expand through purchasing an existing business.
  • Want personalized guidance and to avoid the common pitfalls of the acquisition process.

Program Outcomes:

By the end of the eight-week program, you’ll gain learn about the purchasing path from first conversation to closing, including how confidentiality works, what an initial offer looks like, and why due diligence matters.

Along the way, we make the financial side approachable by focusing on the simple questions that matter most: Will this business reliably generate enough cash to: pay the bills? help achieve your personal growth goals? generate profit? You’ll also learn what funders typically look for and how buyers commonly combine loans, cash down, and, in some cases, seller financing to make a deal work.

Just as important, the Business Buyer Accelerator prepares you for the handoff after purchase, so you can step into ownership with an achievable plan. This consistency builds trust with employees, stabilizes operations, and sets a solid foundation for growth.

How Much Does it Cost:

Thanks to generous support of our partners, there is no cost for participants accepted into the pilot cohort.

Please note that future cohorts may have course fees associated. 

When Does it Start?

The pilot cohort begins April 23, 2026 from 2 – 4 p.m. via Zoom Link. It lasts eight weeks, ending June 11, 2026.
