SUMMARY:Outdoor Business Pitch Competition
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Outdoor Business Pitch Competition for drinks and refreshments while hearing from the up-and-coming businesses building the future of the outdoor industry in WNC. \nThe growing brands in our Waypoint Accelerator program – the East Coast’s first outdoor business accelerator – will star in the Outdoor Biz Pitch Competition\, hosted by the Small Business and Development Center (SBTDC) and partner organizations. \nA panel of judges – with representation from the outdoor industry\, academic leaders\, financial investors\, and other service advisors – will score the competitors. The top applicant will walk away with a monetary prize to use toward growing their business. Event attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in voting\, rounding out the panel with a crowd representative vote. \nThe Outdoor Biz Pitch Competition also serves as the opening reception for the 2019 Outdoor Economy Conference\, which will be held the next day – October 10 – at the Crowne Plaza in Asheville. \nThe Outdoor Biz Pitch Competition is open to the public and includes dinner and a free beer. \nTickets are $15.
